Trying to smooth into posting sometimes. I fixed some stuff on my google reader and docs, so I'll have some easier time. I'm still working on linking facebook status with twitter status, and cutting livejournal off and using RSS feeds. I tried once but James (yeah I called you out buddy) and his privacy options made that a failure. I'm looking into Digsby for the former, and RSS feed info on the second, but I'm kinda slackin'. We'll see.

I have some personal projects I'm hoping to start come this month, we'll see, it's currently the the busiest time we'll have this year, and on top of that comes training, so I don't imagine having too much free time. The admissions team is whole again, so here's wishing the best in the coming year. Wish all these applicants luck, with the size of the Fall applicant pool, they're going to need it.

With a new year I was reviewing myself, in so far as moving forward goes, and I realized I I have a funny employment history. I tend to come into a place of work during some major upheaval. At the mayor's office in San Diego, I went through 2 scandals, 3 mayors, and 2 elections. Even when I first came in, I filled the role of the deputy chief of protocol, without the pay, clearly :P. In my Wheelock temp, I basically jumped right into finalizing international negotiations on the creation of an extension school in Singapore. And here, after two years I'm the most senior person in the back room, and amongst 80% of the total admissions staff.

I guess it's a good climate to be able to put "works well during crises" on the resume, eh?
